Michael Christiansen is a chef and innovation leader with 25 years of experience spanning restaurants and global consumer packaged goods organizations. Throughout his career, Michael has played a role in numerous culinary innovations at both local and global levels, combining chef-driven creativity with technical execution.
Michael currently serves as Vice President of Global R&D and Culinary at Cortina, where he leads product innovation, culinary strategy, and cross-functional collaboration across shelf-stable, frozen, and refrigerated temperature classes. His curiosity for emerging food technologies and commitment to quality ingredients keep him at the forefront of innovation.
Previously, Michael held key roles as an Innovation Chef and Director of Culinary Innovation at two Fortune 500 companies, working closely with food scientists and technical teams to bring differentiated products to market. An active member of the Research Chefs Association, Michael is passionately engaged in industry events, trade shows, and a global network of chefs, scientists, and thought leaders.
