Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Montvale, NJ
Salary Range: $75,000 – $82,000

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist serves as the primary liaison between suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the efficient coordination of sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and private label program management. This role supports the full lifecycle of supply chain operations—from vendor coordination and procurement to order fulfillment and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship between vendor operations teams and National Cortina’s operations team.

  • Act as the main point of contact between vendors (suppliers of services) and suppliers (providers of goods).

  • Negotiate supplier agreements and pricing.

  • Coordinate supplier communication to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.

  • Monitor supplier performance and follow through on commitments.

Program & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate vendor and customer involvement in private label programs from start to finish.

  • Act as project manager for private label initiatives.

  • Support new product onboarding by gathering product specifications, ingredient statements, and supplier documentation.

  • Ensure all required documentation is obtained and organized for new products.

Procurement & Order Management

  • Submit purchase orders to suppliers and track orders through fulfillment.

  • Monitor shipments until products arrive in the United States.

  • Receive customer purchase orders through the company’s ERP platform.

  • Develop and maintain cost-of-goods tracking systems.

  • Proactively maintain communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

Logistics & Supply Chain Operations

  • Manage daily supply chain functions including:

    • Forecasting demand

    • Warehouse inventory levels

    • Shipment tracking

  • Coordinate domestic and international logistics activities.

  • Maintain steady inventory flow to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Data, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Create reports to assist sales teams with vendor contract tracking and cost analysis.

  • Monitor KPIs within the ERP system (NetSuite / Microsoft Dynamics).

  • Identify supply chain inefficiencies and develop improvements.

  • Implement operational strategies to reduce lead times and improve customer satisfaction.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Support regulatory compliance and customer Q&A requirements.

  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to anticipate and resolve potential issues.

  • Ensure proper documentation for product approvals and regulatory standards.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, suppliers, and customer management teams.

  • Align logistics strategies with overall business objectives.

  • Participate in internal initiatives focused on improving operational performance and service delivery.

Additional Duties

  • Assist Supply Chain Managers with operational support and project execution.

  • Support other members of the team when needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering.

  • Experience working with suppliers, logistics, or procurement processes preferred.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

  • Ability to analyze operational data and identify process improvements.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
